This policy explains what The Upper Seat ("we", "us") collects when you use the Upper Seat iOS app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built the app to deliver a personal grooming experience — we collect only what we need to do that well, and we do not sell your data.

Information we collect

How we use your information

We do not use your data for cross-app or cross-site advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

We share data only with service providers that help us run the app, each under a data-processing agreement:

What your barber sees

Your barber sees only what they need to serve you — your name, grooming and seat preferences, style notes, and service history. Your barber does not see your phone number or email address.

Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after closure so we can honor refunds and resolve disputes. You can request earlier deletion (see below).

Your rights and choices

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, and we limit access to the people and services that need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.

Children

The Upper Seat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect, and the effective date above will be updated.
